Each of us carries a unique essence, an individual spark that sets us apart from everyone else. I like to think my uniqueness is woven from a tapestry of experiences, dreams, and personal quirks. My deep curiosity and passion for learning, my empathetic nature that allows me to connect deeply with others, and my resilient spirit that bounces back from challenges and can find poetry in pain and joy… these are the threads that make up the fabric of who I am…

Self-Worth

Loving yourself more begins with recognizing your intrinsic worth. It involves treating yourself with the same kindness and respect you offer to loved ones. I practice self-love by engaging in activities that bring me peace and happiness, setting healthy boundaries, and forgiving myself for past mistakes. Self-love also means taking care of my physical health through nourishing food, being outdoors, and adequate rest. And love… a reminder that you don’t have to be ‘pretty’ to be beautiful… this has been part of my practice to not try to compete with unrealistic beauty standards in a world of social media and false hope (or editing). It’s a big deal in these times—beautiful is someone who knows who she is…

Make a list of everything you are grateful for, and do it often—we are so much more blessed than we imagine. Writing helps us connect the dots…

Embrace Your Inner Child

Close your eyes and picture yourself at five years old... imagine her from head to toe… for me—I’m playing on the beach… hair tousled by the salty breeze, a radiant smile lighting up my face. What did she need to hear back then? Tell her that she is a good girl, kind, strong, and that everything will be okay. Life will bring challenges, but she will make it through it all with flying colors… to be patient… Give her a hug—and send her back on her way—visualization exercises work wonders.
