All Sonsie products are formulated and suitable for all skin types. They are dermatologically tested and tested safe for sensitive skin. Full ingredient lists are available on each product page. Yes, Sonsie is considered “Safe for Sensitive Skin” and this claim is supported by completing an HRIPT (Human Repeat Insult Patch Test) with no signs of irritation based on individuals who have self-perceived sensitive skin and completed

Sonsie’s routine is designed to be simple, effective, and kind to your skin. Here is our recommended routine: 

1. Cleanse - Begin with the Cleansing Mousse: a gentle daily foam cleanser powered by 1% Ginger Root Extract and 0.3% natural Bisabolol to soothe, decongest, and protect sensitive skin. 
2. Hydrate - Follow with our Super Serum, a hydrating treatment with 4% Niacinamide to strengthen the skin barrier and 2% Mountain Pepper Extract to calm redness, and support your skin’s natural balance. 
3. Repair - Apply the Adapt Cream, a peptide-rich barrier cream with 2.5% Adaptive Tripeptide Blend and 0.5% Bacillus Ferment to hydrate, smooth, and support skin regeneration. Use a small amount all over as a daily moisturizer or target specific areas like around the eyes, over redness, or on dry patches. 
4. Moisturize – Finish with the Multi Moisture Cream, a hydrating moisturizer enriched with 12% Glycerin and 0.5% Hyaluronic Acid to deeply hydrate, soften fine lines, and lock in lasting moisture. This nourishing blend supports a balanced, resilient complexion. 
5. Soften – Apply the Basic Balm as the final step. Formulated with 25% Bio‑Based Squalane and 1% Hydrating Peptide Complex, this nourishing balm smooths and plumps lips while leaving a subtle glossy sheen. 

How to layer the routine: 

• Morning & evening, massage 2–3 pumps of Cleansing Mousse onto damp skin, rinse, and pat skin slightly dry. 
• Follow with 1 pipette of Super Serum on damp skin. 
• Apply a thin layer of Adapt Cream to the full face or where extra repair is needed. 
• Seal everything in with a thin layer of Multi Moisture Cream. 
• Finish by applying Basic Balm to the lips anytime for moisture and shine. 

This is the first step in your Sonsie routine. Massage 2-3 pumps onto damp skin, rinse and pat skin slightly dry. Repeat morning and evening. 

What are some key ingredients in the Cleansing Mousse? The Cleansing Mousse is formulated with gentle yet effective ingredients that cleanse without stripping, leaving the skin calm, fresh, and balanced. Two standout actives include: 

• 1% Ginger Root Extract - A soothing antioxidant that helps reduce inflammation, calm irritation, and promote overall skin resilience. 
• 0.3% Natural Bisabolol - A protective active derived from chamomile that helps shield against environmental stressors while supporting the skin barrier. 

Supporting ingredients such as Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice provide extra hydration and comfort, making this cleanser suitable for daily use morning and evening.

After cleansing, apply one pipette of Super Serum to your skin morning and night. Then follow with a thin layer of the Multi Moisture Cream or your chosen moisturizer. The serum can be combined with other serums or natural skin oils - but if you have sensitive skin, it’s not recommended to use alongside other products that also contain niacinamide. 

The Super Serum is powered by skin-strengthening ingredients that calm, hydrate, and restore vibrancy while supporting a healthy barrier. Two standout actives include: 

• 4% Niacinamide - Helps support the skin barrier, even out skin tone, and reduce the appearance of blemishes and redness. 
  
• 2% Mountain Pepper Extract - A calming botanical that helps lessen redness and irritation, especially beneficial for sensitive or reactive skin. 

Supporting ingredients like glycerin, squalane, shea butter, and bisabolol add hydration and barrier support to round out this daily base layer.

Yes! Our serum has natural oils in the products that change color over time. Rest assured this is normal and the product is effective and safe to use. 

The Adapt Cream is flexible and designed to meet your skin where it is. You can: 

- Use it as a full-face daily moisturizer after serum and before SPF or a heavier cream. 

- Apply it as a targeted treatment on areas that need extra support - around the eyes, over redness, or on dry patches. 

There’s no wrong way to use it; it adapts to your skin’s needs. 

•  2.5% Adaptive Tripeptide Blend (Palmitoyl Tripeptide-5, Syncoll) - Boosts and protects collagen for smoother, firmer, healthy skin. 
• 0.5% Bacillus Ferment - A unique ferment that accelerates skin regeneration and hydration while evening tone. 

Both actives are produced using green chemistry, renewable energy, and are readily biodegradable, making them as kind to the planet as they are to your skin. 

Daily Face Moisturizer 

- Apply a small amount to skin as the last step in your skincare routine before SPF and/or makeup. 

Daytime mask 
- Distribute evenly across clean skin. Wait 20 minutes. Rub excess into skin. 

Overnight Mask 
- After cleansing and applying your nighttime skincare routine, distribute a moderate layer evenly across skin. Let absorb overnight. 

Moisturizer 
- Apply anywhere dry skin is a concern. Distribute a moderate layer evenly across skin, and rub excess into skin. 

The Multi Moisture Cream is powered by skin-quenching ingredients designed to deliver long-lasting hydration and support a healthy skin barrier. Two standout actives include: 

• 12% Glycerin – A powerful humectant that helps prevent moisture loss, soothe the skin, and reinforce the skin barrier. 
• 0.5% Hyaluronic Acid – Helps attract and retain water in the skin, reducing the appearance of fine lines and keeping skin plump and hydrated. 

This glycerin-rich formula is also infused with skin-loving ingredients like squalane, shea butter, crambe abyssinica seed oil, bisabolol, and prickly pear extract—all working together to soften, soothe, and visibly improve the skin over time.

Apply to lips generously throughout the day and before bed. 

The Basic Balm is a vegan lip treatment designed to smooth, plump, and deeply hydrate—leaving lips soft, glossy, and nourished. Its key ingredients include: 

• 25% Bio-Based Squalane – Delivers long-lasting hydration while nourishing and softening dry lips. 
• 1% Hydrating Peptide Complex – A blend that visibly enhances lip volume, softness, and moisture over time for fuller-looking lips. 
  
  

This balm also features skin-supportive ingredients like sunflower seed wax, Portulaca Pilosa extract, and vitamin E to lock in moisture and boost overall lip health.

Like all skincare, Sonsie recommends using the products in a certain period of time. Each product is tested for a shelf life, meaning, before opening the product lasts a certain amount of time, usually 2 years. More importantly, each item is marked with a Period After Opening (PAO) symbol on the packaging, which indicates how long the product remains safe and effective after opening (typically shown as a number followed by “M,” like “12M” for 12 months). 

To get the most out of your Sonsie products: 

- Store them in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. 

- Avoid introducing water into containers. 

- Use clean hands or tools when applying. 

Yes. Sonsie products are formulated to be gentle and suitable for all skin types—including sensitive and acne-prone skin. For example, our Super Serum contains 4% Niacinamide and 2% Mountain Pepper Extract, two ingredients known to calm inflammation, reduce redness, and support the skin barrier—key for managing breakouts. We also avoid harsh actives that can cause irritation and diminish the skin barrier. Our entire lineup is designed with skin sensitivity in mind, making it a safe and effective choice for those prone to acne. 

Sonsie follows the reduce, reuse, recycle principles when it comes to our primary packaging. We also believe in responsible sourcing and constant innovation when it comes to packaging. 

Reduce: Our first approach is to reduce the amount of plastic in our products. We start by designing our products with as little plastic as possible. It’s hard to get around components like caps and pumps using plastic, but we opt for glass and aluminum where we can. We are also certified plastic negative in partnership with Repurpose Global, meaning we recover (literally pick up) 2x as much plastic as we use in our products. Reuse: We then prioritize reusing materials, by using post-consumer resin.
 

Recycle: We’ve partnered with Pact, to offer recycling for hard-to-recycle components that are commonly found in beauty. Learn more about our Pact partnership or recycle your empties here.

Paper: We use only FSC-certified paper.

Yes, we ship to the UK & certain countries in the EU. To get your order to you, we've partnered with Passport Shipping and they will be the Seller for all orders to the UK for orders under £135 and orders to the EU for orders €150 and under. 

In the United States, tax will be added separately at checkout, where applicable. Outside the United States, taxes and duties are included in our prices and we will show them to you transparently at checkout. You will NOT be charged separate tax and duties upon receipt of your Sonsie order. 

Our fulfillment center processes orders quickly. Generally we expect to have your order shipped from our fulfillment center within 1–2 business days of placing your order. 

In the United States, standard shipping will generally arrive within 3 to 5 business days, and priority will arrive within 2 business days. Outside the United States, shipping times vary by location, generally from 7 – 15 business days. Passport Shipping will provide you a transparent tracking portal for your international package. We are working hard to implement a more expedited international shipping option, but don’t have one available at this time. Due to COVID-19 precautions and the current shipping environment, your package may take longer than expected to process and ship. We appreciate your patience. 

After your order ships, you will receive an email with your tracking number. 

In the United States, you may return the product in its original condition to us within thirty (30) calendar days from the delivery date for a refund or exchange. Products returned must be unopened in their original packaging, and in unused condition. This includes original packaging and plastic seal. The original invoice and or packing slip must be provided with any return. International sales are final sale only. We do not accept international returns.
