What does Sonsie’s Basic Balm in Sugar-dipped Rhubarb feel like?

Our lip balm formulas feels like a lip balm because of the sunflower wax base, but because of the 25% squalane it glides across lips without drag and leaves a glossy appearance. The best of both worlds. The shimmer is very subtle and cannot be felt on the lip!

Sonsie’s Basic Balm in Sugar-dipped Rhubarb has a subtle Rhubarb scent. And if you’re wondering what Rhubarb smells like, it’s kind of like a fresh green apple meets a celery stalk.

Can I pair these balms with a colored lip balm, lip stick or lip stain?

Yes, of course you can pair Sonsie’s Basic Balm Duo with a colored lip product! If using a colored product, it’s recommended to apply your colored product first, and then seal it in with your Sonsie lip balm for a glossy finish with long-lasting moisture.

What color is the shimmer in this squeezable lip balm?

The color of Sonsie’s Basic Balm in Sugar-dipped Rhubarb is a slightly cool tone, almost a blue-purple color. On the lip, because the balm base formula is clear, the shimmer appears like a high gloss version of our original Sonsie Basic Balm.
